Early-Career & Internship Readiness

Early-career programs work best when they help people understand the workplace, not just observe it. Done well, they help early-career talent understand communication, professionalism, remote work expectations, interviewing, service, emotional intelligence, and how their work connects to a larger mission.

What this work called for

Internship programs are not just exposure programs. Done well, they help early-career talent understand communication, professionalism, remote work expectations, interviewing, service, emotional intelligence, and how their work connects to a larger mission.

How I approached it

  • Built internship orientation and closeout experiences with career readiness, customer service, emotional intelligence, project presentations, remote work etiquette, and interviewing skills.
  • Designed the experience to help interns make sense of the organization and their own professional growth.
  • Used closeout activities to capture feedback, practice reflection, and mark completion.

What this shows about how I lead

  • Creates developmental experiences for emerging talent.
  • Builds confidence and workplace fluency, not just program attendance.
  • Connects people-first learning to career growth and organizational belonging.
